Really? I don't see it that way -- I'd love a 128GB 12" iPad with a
slot for an SD card for $400 but I don't see Apple bowing to my wishes
anytime soon.
In only partially democratic fashion they have bowed to only what some
of their customers want because they feel that to be seen to bend to
customers' desires to be advantageous and they feel they can still make
a handsome profit from it.
And actually it's not democratic fashion at all -- it's business, plain
and simple. Did the customers actually get to choose the new screen
sizes? No. Is there an iPhone to fit everybody's desire? No.
Rather than the way you worded it, I'd say:
In true capitalist fashion they caved to market pressure to match their
competitors' offerings.
