iOS7 makes the iPhone 4 seem pokey by comparison after iOS6
The only reason I updated my 4 to iOS 7 was because I was getting a 5s & wanted to get used to the new "look" before the new phone arrived.
Unless there's some compelling reason to change, I think you'll be happy if you stick with 6 -- and there's no going back from 7 if you change your mind later.
Swipes are overrated when you're muttering "come *on* already" at the device.
