Mine works sometimes and sometimes not.
Mine works on POP and IMAP
Sent from my iPadI see. It only works with IMAP, not POP. Seems odd, since they stay in Trash if I delete them one at a time whether marked "Read" or "Unread."I use POP since I share one of my email addresses with my DH.Cathy
Sent from my iPad Because they are not removed from the server. If you trash mails on your device they just redownload until you set the server to delete
Sent from my iPhone

Next time you open Mail they're back again. Sigh. Too good to be true. What I can't figure is WHY this simple change is so hard to add to iOS. It has been possible on Mac OS forever.
