Re: [iPad] OT "dogs are people too"

What an appealing little dog!  I'm so sorry for your loss, Mary, but glad that you have so many wonderful memories of him.

My puppy mill rescue with the triple bad luck to be in a puppy mill then have seizures and then this summer went into congestive heart failure, started having difficulty breathing so I had him put to sleep this weekend. I had promised myself to let him go when he was in distress and thankfully this was only about a day. He didn't quite reach his sixth year and I had him for four years. He was a sweet dignified boy that wanted to keep on trucking and had three months of folks coming into my store to give him extra pets after we got the diagnosis of severe heart defects. He loved his time by himself with me to get his medicines which was treat time to him as he got all eight pills in a pinch of "Pill Pocket" And he would quietly come forward when one of his special people came in my store  to see him and lift a paw. He even had gotten enough confidence to bark at other dogs which was not a behavior I would want but I was glad to see him have the confidence of his place in the sun.
