We had to follow her cue. We took her in for her final visit today at 5. I know most of us are pet lovers and would understand this feeling.
I know it was right, and that's most of the 'trouble' when we have a pet PTS. We always wonder "Could I have done more?" it plays on the heart and the mind.
The fact is, we did what we could do, but Kidney failure is a bitch. If anything "good", she did not know pain from it. Most she felt was a sting of Sub-Q fluids nightly. Otherwise, she was not 'all here', and it was becoming clear that doing these things to her was not FOR her, but for us. We can't roll that way. so we let our Pomchi go onward. She will be in a better place, and if all is true, young and well at a rainbow bridge waiting for us.
Goodbye, Faxie-girl, you gave us 17 happy years. I can only hope we did the same for you, baby. <3
