Re: [iPad] Steve Jobs and Xbox One?

And new Zealand's with its move to legalize soft drugs.

Anyway. Game stop makes a killing recycling old games amd I've read m$ move with the ONE will disrupt that model. I believe it must phone in periodically like once a day but so if the Internet down what them? If the servers go down what then?  Game servers notoriously go down. What if you like a game and m$ wants to kill its server? What then? I remember the days of buying a game amd being able to play it anytime as long as yu had power and a monitor.

I''ve watched it here, I'm not seeing that. Apparently it doesn't need online 24/7, although I don't see the issue with that at all. Second hand games is a console issue not Xbox. Sony already does that with its something Pass. If you buy a second hand game, it wont work, until you buy a pass for it, around $15.

Xbox One is not a gaming console, but it play games, its about home entertainment. Have to wait to see how that pans out but I do know in our geek community in NZ, many Xbox owners have it for a HTPC

I hear nerds running away from it in droves. It requires Internet and does some weird thing with second hand games. I forget all the reasons as I don't game nor do I Microsoft.

It does appear that way, devices galore. I guess what it does, or will try to do, is to bring them all together, so while you have 5 devices, you manage everything from oneMagic idea if it works.

Far more frantic than my lifestyle would ever accommodate.  To each his own.
