Denise, do you understand what files are and where they're stored on your laptop?

In 1986, I purchased a Leading Edge computer with one floppy, and a dot matrix printer. By 1993 we had an IBM PS/2 with Win 3.1 which was good. Then we moved on to Win 95, 98, XP, Vista, and now Win 7. My husband has Win 8 and hates it because he can not find anything. Now, he worked for IBM LOL
I got the iPad, as I wrote, because of being so crippled with arthritis that I am unable to stretch my arms to reach the keyboard on my laptop desk. Well, I am one of those old dummies I suppose. I can not download the manual to my laptop and I find this definitely not intuitive but confusing and frustrating.
As I go along I expect I will have more questions. Thank you for your patience.
