STREET VIEW, which I used considerably, is one that comes immediately to mind. Also the lack of a " full screen " map is annoying in the Google web browser option.

Ed,
I would like to specially know features which are available in app but are difficult to access in browser. One thing was about public transport availability. Luckily for me, the public transport guys made an app which is still better since it has started giving real time info' about delays, if any, which was not there in google maps.

Admission and fix are two different issues. I know drunks who admit to the problem, too, but don't expect the problem to get "fixed".
Regarding the issues I have found, it seems that EVERY time I look in depth at a certain area in the Oregon – Washington State maps for locating specific rural residences I find street errors…. As I already said, generally incorrect street names… and a few streets on the map where they really are not located. Considering the fact that I am not LOOKING for problems, but just trying to use the maps, these numbers of errors are totally unacceptable. I've only been looking at a miniscule fraction of territory in this region with intent on how to get there. If I am stumbling across these errors so frequently, it must be mind boggling how many errors there are if one were to systematically be looking and documenting them.
Totally unacceptable and so bad I am dubious Apple can correct this problem in any semblance of a timely fashion.
Then again, they have billions…. Perhaps if they throw enough talent into the effort they can ….. albeit belatedly.
Yes, I am very upset over this issue as I had come to rely heavily on Google Maps for iPad. The Google Maps on a web browser is still lacking features I had come to rely on in their old Apple app .

Fair comment.
But, Apple has admitted there are issues, so on that, in the last few weeks you've seen maybe 3 errors a week? And it is being fixed.

Jim, in the past 15 months of traveling back and forth across the United States… and a bit of Canada, I cannot recollect a single instance of error in the maps that I was using on Google Maps for iPad. On the other hand , In the past few weeks of traveling the Pacific North West, I have found nearly a dozen errors on the map, and I am not even trying to find them… they just keep popping up as I look at various travel routes or locations.
I would not say that this qualifies as a "working maps app " by my definition…. but then again, I am used to something better. Others seem willing to acquiesce to what Apple has substituted.

In two years, the A6X will be obsolete... but we might have a working Maps app. <haha. doh!>
Ted
Since we have working Maps NOW, that's hardly a meaningful prediction.
