Re: [iPad] Charging an iPad question

Some comments:

AC Inverters are a bit hard on the battery because they take
12v dc => 120v AC => 5v dc it is quite inefficient, convert to AC for no reason, and a lot of heat...

If you can use something like:
=> Scosche reVIVE II Dual USB Car Charger for iPad
That just turns 12v => 5v and is very efficient and has the 2amps you need (1amp chargers are painfully slow)

In summer if you need to blare the AC those inverters can drain battery quite un-necessarily.

I only use inverter when I have 4-6 kids in the van and they have the AC chargers with them and we all have 1-2 devices to charge and need lots of Amps as a result. I find a simple lighter 2amp 2 USB lighter can charge my iPad and Phone both pretty quick and never hit my battery hard.

I just bought a AC converter for the car so that I can plug anything into it, including my laptop.
