I read an interesting article a few weeks back on how premium sports packages and the money needed to acquire the rights therein have jacked the price on cable for all of us. I think sports should have huge Internet distribution networks and cut out Comcast. Imagine. Any hand streaming live ala carte for $5 or $3? No limit. No subscription. Old games? $1! Imagine an apple tv like device that used the Internet to just stream sports for sports ppl?!??!! Such a huge win! Thoughts?

I changed my provider from DirecTV to Comcast on the basis of monthly cost, but there really isn't much difference between the two in my area once the promo period ends.
Sent from my iPad...Ahhh sports. I know a few types of sports have apps and channels on the apple tv even (although not fun sports like roller derby). I forget about those. I used to get into motorized sports but never televised. I can guess the Espn app sucks? MLB app too? Etc? You'd figure there's good money in sports. I can't believe PPV hasn't made it to the iPad yet!!!
