I'm not particularly interested in a better display because I'm still
very happy with my original iPad's display.

What I'm most interested in is any speed improvements between the
original iPad and the new iPad. Particularly relating to using apps
with a huge amount of data in them. I'm a musician and use ForScore as
a music-reading app and I've installed 15GB of data for that app alone,
including over 400 full orchestra scores, the trumpet parts for all
those scores (I'm mainly a trumpet player and also a conductor) plus
many hundreds of trumpet etude books, solos, recorder solos and etudes,
and it can be sluggish when the app loads and it has to read its own
"directory" of all the files I've got loaded in it. Plus it takes a bit
of a while (I'm talking seconds, not minutes) to load a full score and
then to try to navigate to a point somewhere in the middle of the score.
I need to wait for the file to completely load before trying to
navigate somewhere to the middle and am curious if anybody else puts
their new iPad through such uses and has a basis of comparison to an
original iPad.

I'm hoping that it's much faster, since iPad2 got a faster processor and
then the graphics coprocessor in the new iPad is much faster than that
in either of the first two iterations of the iPad.

But I'm not about to spring $800 to get a device which doesn't allow me
to do what I want to do any faster than my original iPad.

So is there anybody on this list who can make a comment as to the
relative speed of the two?
