Most Android phones have hdmi out so you can connect directly to the tv.

The iPhone and iPad can both AirPlay to the apple tv and share iTunes content. Android not so much. Plus the added hipster factor of having an iPhone  goes without saying, although I did anyway.

If you are used to ios some things about android may be odd. That said I believe there is a 30 day grace period. Try the droid. If you don't like it come back to the light side of the force ;p

Hello,
My AT&T contract has just ended so I can look at new smartphones. I want the most current phone, easy to use, with max features. (I assume I'll have to commit to another 2 years if I'm with AT&T or Verizon, right?)

My Goals:
1. Have the smoothest, most fun experience to enjoy the total experience for online, photos, music, tv and of course, using the phone!

2. Reduce cable bill. I've got comcast and it's going up $40/month to $129, so time to connect Apple tv, get Hulu so will be using my iPad.

Have:
Motorola Blade (2 yrs old) with Android 2.2.1
iPad (got 12/11); has max features
AT&T: contract just ended

New phone:???????

Back to my original question please:
Adv/Disadvantages of having an iPhone vs Android phone with iPad?
I also have Apple TV which I haven't connected yet.

Thanks,
Karen in San Francisco bay area so both AT&T and Verizon work
