I use a Cydia app called Multifl0w. It is a fairly good app switcher that works in concert with Apple's native multitasking and Backgrounder. It is activated the same as the native app switcher, by double tapping the home button, bit it also has Activator support, so you can set up how you want to activate however you prefer.
