I just got my new iPad 2 up and running last night. I chose to add it as a new device rather than use a backup from my iPhone 3GS. It's a neat device but with some idiosyncrasies I don't understand. Do I need to set up something special for my contacts to sync? I thought that happened automatically. I just updated from OS 10.4 to 10.6. So I'm new to that as well.
I have books downloaded through my iPhone with iBooks and Stanza. I did get the iBook stuff redownloaded, but so far no luck with Stanza. In fact, I can't load catalogs from Stanza or contact them at all. I know the problem is not with my wifi connection, because I can get them easily with my iPhone using the same connection. My connection to the Apple store is ghosty as well. The iPad 2 processor should make for much faster downloads from the store than the iPhone, but so far the opposite has been true. Am I missing something in settings?
Also, if anyone can give me a link to an iPad "help" page, I'd be grateful.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to force myself to put the durn gadget down before my eyes fall out!
