Yeah, the danger is thinking you can displease a small percentage of your customers with impunity all the time.  That's true to a point, but the fallacy with that is that the bigger your customer base becomes, the more people there are in that small percentage, and you end up missing some really bad mistakes.

Doing what they wanted made GM one of the largest companies on the planet as well. Arrogance eventually brought them to their knees and bankruptcy. The only reason they still exist is probably the bailout.
