From your computer, you can send Excel files to Dropbox, and from

But Numbers on the iPad won't let you send the files back to Dropbox --
you'll need to set up an account at iWork.com and transfer the files
back to your computer that way.
I wish that all apps could access DropBox -- I see no reason why it
shouldn't be able to be installed such that it appears on every app's
"Send To" or "Share" menu.
