The main thing about these types of auction sites is that you spend money whether you win the auction or not. They have a surplus because so many people think they will get something for nothing that the site has tons of cash to buy many of the things that will hook in suckers with the same trickery. 

Pass up on this unless you have money to blow.

It is a place to bid for stuff. You see an iPad for 12.00 and you place a one pence bid. If it works like other such sites, you get a few free bids when you join and you buy more bids to continue the game.
