I have the same problem since I updated to iOS 5. I have 26 GB of free memory available on my iPad original version.
It usually happens on newspaper web sites. It happens while using Twitter when I click on a link, the link will start to load and often times I can start reading an article before it shuts down.
Also noticed this problem when I try to forward a story via email.
I have shut down and rebooted resulting in some brief improvement. I just cleared my history and cache as suggested. Waiting to see if this works.FYI, newspapers load a great deal of content and ads from various servers and it does take a while to load the various stuff they want us to see. I suspect this is where the problem originates. Until recently I was an Advertising Director for a group of newspapers so I am familiar with this situation.
