At our store, the 'Verizon' ones actually Read 'Verizon' on the back of the box.
When you open the box, take the iPad out by the small 'tab' of cellophane on the bottom, and look to the top-left on the side. You will see a small ovoid slot where a sim card tray is. No sim there, means they sold you the Verizon one.

I haven't opened the box yet because I'm not sure that I have the AT&T version. Nowhere on the box does it give this information. I do know that it is white, 32mg, wifi and 3G.
Does anyone know how I can determine for sure that it is the AT&T version before I open the box. There is no Verizon coverage in this area & the closest Sam's is 45 miles away. I've called Sam's a number of times but their # is always busy.
