Try doing a full reboot (hold the home key and the On/Off switch until
the Apple Logo appears on the screen and then let go of the buttons and
wait for the device to get back to the normal startup screen.
If the messages still appear, then it simply means that your iPad has so
much stuff on it that it is telling you that you're running out of room.
Photos and Videos are the only two data types that the iPad's system
recognizes without all the other apps we install on the devices, so they
are the only two data types that the iPad can warn you about deleting if
your memory is running low. That doesn't actually mean that you need to
delete any photos or videos -- perhaps you have audio files you could
delete or PDF files or other ebook formats you could delete from various
apps. Maybe you installed a game which used up a lot of memory space
which you could reclaim if you deleted it.
What Apple *should* have made that error message say is "Your iPad is
running low on available memory. Delete some apps or data. Photos and
videos can be quite large so try deleting some of them first, but also
consider deleting unused apps or data files you no longer need to have
available for certain apps."
It's not like there's a shortage of screen space for them to have put up
an error message which would actually explain the whole situation.
