RE: [iPad] Dumb question :) tethering / mobile hot spot

Yes, you can connect your iPad via Wi-Fi to your phone’s hotspot. I do it. That way you wouldn’t need to pay  extra for a 3G iPad, so long as you were always willing to have your phone along and use it as a hotspot. Depending upon your phone service provider you may need to pay extra for the tethering option.

Subject: [iPad] Dumb question :) tethering / mobile hot spot

I am still researching the best option for what I can afford, and am wondering if I mobile hotspot my phone, will be I be able to connect an iPad via wifi, or do I have to have 3G to connect to mobile hotspot?  Probably a really dumb question, but I can’t wrap my brain around what exactly is the difference when connecting other devices…?

Clear as mud?

Thanks

Kriss
