Re: [iPad] Apps that I use daily, weekly, and not at all

I too look at the Weatherbug radar before going out on iffy days.
I usually check the "conditions" before going out -- to get an objective
view of the temp etc. (there's a "station" right across the street) to add
to my subjective stick-my-head-out-the-door -- so I can decide what/how much
to wear.

You might be interested in a Kickstarter project about short-term weather
called Dark Sky at

It'll be a while before it's available (if it gets funded) & it's a bit
pricey for an app, though.

Listing this app reminded me to recommend The Weather Bug app. During the
two day of Irene here in eastern NC I was able to get real time radar on my
iPhone (my iPad is wifi only and we had on Internet). It was extremely
helpful as I could time my dash out to feed the horses . I actually drove
down my drive and then dashed as trees were still coming down. My sister in
Beaufort could check that the storm wasn't over but instead they were in the
center of the eye.
