Ah. Since I'm always using the French system when visiting the App store, it came out in French for me.

Sure, but most people don't notice the change, they just look for their card and the replacement cards are similar enough that they don't catch it.
Sadly, as in life, there's no such thing as magic, and once you know the trick, you're disappointed ;-))
