iPod charger=5W and iPad charger=10W. That means the iPad charger puts out more juice. Theoretically you could burn up an iPod/iPhone using the 10W charger if you leave it on the charger too long.
And... The other way doesn't charge your iPad very fast using an iPod/iPhone charger. But no damage would result.

I actually use the 10 W charger for all of my iDevices. Works fine, lasts a long time.kenOn Jun 1, 2011, at 3:37 PM, Carlee Marrer-Tising wrote:
In very, very tiny print in a rather light greenish-gray (?) color, the following is written on the iPad charger: "10 W USB Power Adapter." (See the attached photo.) The other chargers don't have this. It is such tiny print that I'm seriously considering going to the trouble of making a little label for it so it'll be easier to see if I have the 10W one. Hope this helps.Carlee-------Original Message-------____________________________________________________________Sent from my iPhone -------Original Message-------All I know is the charger I got with my ipad2 looks exactly the same size and shape as my old 1st gen iPhone charger. There is certainly confusion in my mind now.Sent from my iPad2
