I use to use the Kindle suppl on my iPad all the time. Then Apple came up with family share. What I buy through I Book is automatically shared with my hubby through his iBook. So far I haven't seen that with the Kindle. So if you have family share turned on, maybe the Kindle isn't for you.

If you only use the Mini for reading books, you might want to take a look at the Kindle which I find easier on my eyes and smaller to hold (I have a Kindle Oasis, but also enjoyed the Voyage and Paperwhite). You can then use the Kindle app to synchronize your reading between the Kindle, iPad and iPhone.

It does not make sense to spend the money, although Best Buy has a $100-off sale on the Mini 4.

Jim asks:
am curious, with an iPhone 6+ and an iPad Air 2, what your use-case is for the iPad Mini?
