I have an emotional investment in Apple, going back to the early eighties. I'm biased.
They did nothing to alienate me until Tim Cook took over the stage. I confess to disliking both his persona and his business focus.
The bad vibes I'm feeling have nothing to do with money making, but with a shift of corporate attention away from computing and onto show business and, god help us, automobiles. If I had Apple stock or just wanted them to keep making more money, I guess I'd be happy. Instead, I'd like them to have stuck to little machines and operating systems. There, they were - and are - brilliant.

When the rounds of hardware issue arise upon a new release you do have to ask where is the quality control. Many wait, and these types of comments I have read over and over online. Its a good, sound quality phone, where issues are not rare. It isn't better than that. Whether its better then every other brand, or near the top of all brands, no idea. All I know is what read year in and year out.
