I skip generations. So long as the brain keeps effective speed fast, it's good enough. There's too much consumer stuff in the market clamoring for our money.
Camera improvements matter, though, so long as they're real: quality of optics and recorded image, size and quality of image sensor, effectiveness of image stabilizer, accuracy of face recognition. It looks at the moment as though there aren't likely to be major improvements, sadly. Too small is just too small. Technology seems to have plateaud.
