Re: [iPad] What happened to Apple design?

Read what I stated a few minutes back, thats the difference. two years ago the board demanded innovation, since then its headed south. Annecdotally, its probably only in this two years I cant go anywhere without reading about hardware and OS issues and bugs. Rushing stuff out. Its a board controlled company. You might say all listed companies are board controlled, they are. But Apple has moved from the mantra they had to being a money making company where the products are secondary, they used to be primary.

It was a stock when they originally kicked out jobs. So. That aspect is not new.

The niche would bring bacj the cool factor, and regain the HW and SW standards. But its a stock now, show me the money

It was jobs at the helm. Then some other dudes. Then job at the helm. So. Before jobs at the helm was jobs at the helm.

But. That said. I would not be disappointed if apple were a niche company again.

With Jobs at the helm, yes.  Before that, not so much.

I'd rather they'd stayed a young, hungry, adventurous company turning out cool stuff for people looking for both high quality and sophisticated design.

A company has intent to make profits. Based upon that revenue is a good barometer.

Apple has not risen fast they have been around for decades. They have risen slowly.
