You don't control the sound a notification makes, other than the one's in Settings/Sounds. (I.e., ESPN app notifications are going to make the Sportscenter jingle sound.) There are a lot of games that have their signature sounds.

You can turn off the sound in notification settings.

Perhaps their sound can't be changed.  You could call Apple for free since it's a new device at 1-800-275-2273.
