Right.  I think they've over-sold themselves.  I'll likely unsubscribe and go back to buying a CD now and then.  I can't enjoy music that's had the life compressed out of it.

It's very possible that what I was listening to was not CD quality & I never looked at the album view to know, but was just interested in how the music sounded to my ears.  I thought that the best test for me to determine whether I wanted to spring for the extra subscription fees.

Pat, it may be that what you were listening to on Tidal was not, in fact, CD quality.  The only way to tell if an album's high quality - other than listening, of course - is to note whether or not "HIFI" is or is not greyed out in the album view.
