This is entirely possible since memory is memory there is no need to have a program stored in memory and "loaded" into other memory to run it. Just run it where it is stored. No need to use any cpu overhead if it is not "running" either. And yes some apps implement "disk storage" like Basic! Which let's you read and write to "disk files" as well as load and save programs to "disk". Actually a very slick os to work this way.
