[MacBook] DMG files and some other file types

 

I was cleaning up my computer today and discovered that I have lots of dmg files. Is it OK to delete these files after the application is installed and launched on my computer? I assumed so, but just wanted to check.

also, I discovered a few file types that I haven't a clue what they are about???? They are .mdinfo, .myi, and .myd. Anyone have a clue as to what these are? And whether I can delete them.
