I'm on iPhone 7+ and iPad Pro.
My photos has a bunch of options camera roll, all photos, albums, memories, as well as by years. You will find stuff tucked away. Just start  clicking/looking and you'll find them.

Same here with an iPhone 7 Plus running 10.1.1.

My iPad Baby Pro and my iPhone 6+, both running 10.1.1, display an album named "Camera Roll".
