Could be a wifi problem. Or the printer could have fallen off the router.
General-purpose solution is to boot stuff - printer, router, iPad. Pull the plug, wait fifteen seconds, plug it back in. With the iPad, hard boot by holding down on/off button and home button simultaneously until Apple logo appears.
Wouldn't hurt to make a fresh connection between printer and router. Maybe try this first.
