Re: [iPad] Re: Cracked screen on Mini

Carol, it's usually mobi, but I have also sent a few books from other sites to my kindle eReader, but I had to do it through Amazon in the "Send to kindle". Before Amazon had the "Send to kindle", Amazon had another method. I used to send an attachment of the book from my email to the email addy on my kindle & write "Convert" in the subject line & Amazon would send it to my kindle. Amazon can convert the book so that you have all the font sizes, etc. I think if you sent a PDF, you couldn't change the size. It's been awhile, but I think you still have to do that from a computer, not a tablet like the iPad.     As for formats - check on the kindle page at Amazon. It may be listed in the area where they give the specific details on the specs on what you are getting on that kindle. Scroll down the page. Look on the right side.

Pat, more than half of my books are iBooks. I do have some on my Kindle app, and I have some B&N, and some Gutenberg. Can I read other formats on a Kindle?
Carol

If you only use the Mini for reading books, you might want to take a look at the Kindle which I find easier on my eyes and smaller to hold (I have a Kindle Oasis, but also enjoyed the Voyage and Paperwhite). You can then use the Kindle app to synchronize your reading between the Kindle, iPad and iPhone.
