At this point I am so confused but I know the plan I thought would cost $30 ended up being $80, including taxes. There was a $30 activation fee and a $40 fee for 4G lite, supposedly because 3G was no longer available. But... several times I was on 3G, not 4G on my iPad. This entire experience has left me with a very bad taste and disappointment with Verizon.
I had a data connection until today when it was terminated at the VZ store. It was to expire on 10-4 but I wanted to be sure it would not renew, considering the trouble I had.

pat h - oh
I didn't mean to infer you couldn't use the data. But if you don't use it during that billing cycle it is lost. I also think (because ED said so) there is no activation fee for pre-pay. I paid it for my and my wife's new iPad for post-pay. Don''t know about the activation fee (if any) for pre-pay for the new iPad. Gheeze. They should have called it iPad3. LOL.Jerry R.
