[iPad] Charging an iPad question

 

I wonder if I can charge my iPad in the car like I do iPods and iPhone. I drive  Benz and the connection  is in the glove box. I plug my iPod in there to play on the cars speakers. Think it will work?

Last time I checked the part that is needed was in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. I suppose it's possible it could get here tomorrow but I doubt that the company will come and install it then so I'll be in the dark. I'm ready with lots of flash lights and candles and all my computers charged and my iDevices charged I'm pleased I have a gas stove so I'll be able to cook.
We went to the polling place yesterday figuring to get our votes cast and the line was incredible so we came home. We'll try again after the storm has passed.
We don't expect power outages until Monday so I'll get to see the fourth game of the World Series and I now have the football game on. It doesn't look too good for the Washington Redskins. RGIII better get fired up!
