[MacBook] Re: iPad & Open Office

This is tangentially answering your question. I bought an Ipad to use when traveling since I didn't want to go through airport security, public transportation, etc and risk my 17in macbook pro to dropping, etc, when juggling suitcases, camera gear, and the like.

I am using the Ipad for serious work. And I am using Keynote and Pages predominantly on my Ipad and Goodreader to read the pdf formats. This is working out very well for me.

I haven't tried Open Office since I am trying to stay in a MAC environment for everything that I am doing these days.

cheers,
Mary Ellyn

I know that my netbook will do the job, plus it has lots more hard drive space than the iPad. I'm not sure if the iPad is up to doing some serious work or is it just a fun toy with internet & email.
