Thanks for the great advice regarding dmg files. I will make sure that I don't delete dmgs for programs that I have purchased (although I may have ditched an earlier version of Lightroom now that I think about it.) But I will go through and get rid of some downloads associated with programs that I have trialed and then decided not to get.
The .mdinfo files dates coincides with when I bought my iPad so I will keep those.
I am not sure about the .myd and .myi files. I am not using a database, except for Numbers occasionally, but that wouldn't account for the files. I will have to open and see what they are. Appreciated the link as well. I will see if that will shed some light on these files as well.
