What did I expect?  That with millions of people globally having tattoos that Apple would have assesed that their sensors would manage, or if not, fully disclose that they don't, and not leave it to be discovered after that fact. Tatts are not new and they are common. I see this is a clear and obvious expectation, along with natural skin colours, and skin anomalies.
