It is very popular marketing and advertising tool.
The company put its advertisement and those who are getting their phones charged, have to see the advertisement for several tens of minutes.
The recall value of such ad. is very high.
So company gains by financing the capital expenditure and power consumption bill.


No everyone can plan unexpected usage and people do tend to overestimate their battery power OR underestimate their data or map uasage.
