I'm capped at 3megs but never go over 1.25 in real world and find streaming on Netflix and other services satisfactory.

I'm nominally "3 Mbps", but I'm 4-5 miles from the local TelCo office, so it's a little iffy.

I regularly see 2.8 Mbps in iStat Pro, but often it is under 2 and not uncommonly under 1, depending on who else in the house is doing what, whether there's a storm interfering with the above-ground lines, whether anyone has cursed at Verizon lately, whatever.
