Good analogy. I still find OS X a bit limiting, but i also know I haven't sat down for a couple of night to learn it all. I have some videos on Yosemite, that will be great, and a notepad to, well, make notes.

Compare the task bar that you can keep your oft used app in to the Dock. Although the dock takes up space. I can auto hide the dock as I can with the task bar. Same stuff, different look.
