All of my data from apps has come across intact from iCloud. I play a number of games & also use Evernote extensively. All of my pictures are intact as far as I can tell; I check the number of photos on my device versus the number shown in iPhoto on my computer. I still back up to iTunes periodically, but haven't needed to access it in recent memory.
