Our unemployment is 6..2%, which is high, but the graphs are similar to yours, so possible more a global issue, perhaps a leftover of the recession and caution on the part of employers?

Mine is 250k about. (228 I think)
What's your unemployment rate?
Interesting stuff
So, in NZ, we are paid roughly 50% more dollars. Our gas is double, so we are a little worse off. Houses maybe double too, so a little worse off, elsewhere similar or bit better off. TV/Internet/phone seems cheaper here as same $ figure, same with power a little. Swings and roundabouts, as Ed said, lots of variables.
Are these figures quoted for cities? Where I am in Christchurch its a population of 400,000
