Very true -- and if the technology marketplace rejects all those new
offerings it may be huge in a negative way.
The big question is whether the current Apple user base will invest in
the new products sufficiently to give the groundswell necessary to
attract the attention of non-Apple users.
I certainly hope so -- while I have been a decades-old Windows user I
have always been grateful to Apple for providing a much-needed
reality-check for Microsoft and other Windows-world developers (hardware
and software) and to think that they might have to become more
microsoft-like in order to keep their share prices above the market
average over the next eight years (which in the stock market is like a
century of human life to the rest of us!) is a scary thought.
So let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that these new products will
keep the Apple magic alive!
