I know but this is one of the "measurements" that Photoshop uses and it gives a sense of how much I reduced the size of the image.

Arrrrgh.

If there can be said to be an "image size" it could be:
6.2 X 4.6mm = 28.46 mm² (the physical size size of the actual sensor)
or
12.80 megapixels (the actual number of sensor sites on the actual sensor)

What you print it at or reduce it to is an entirely arbitrary decision on the part of the person at the keyboard of the computer.

It never inherently had a 22+" image size.
