Ive always thought to place the home button on the side, a mini me of the current style. On both sides to cater for lefties too. There is quite a space at the bottom, over half an inch, and a tickle more at the top, although the camera needs some room. On my 5, if I measure disagonally from the top left just below the ear piece, to the bottom right, I get 12 cm. Thats reducing the bevel too. That would go edge to edge with the case I am using, right to the bottom. 12cm = 4.72 inches.
Sixe is 11cm tall by 5.5 cm wide or a 16:8 ratio Thats not a bad ratio. And for zero form factor chnage, although as with any larger phone, a stretch to the top right
Just thoughts but a huge plus if Apple had the best size to form factor. Id like a little wider myself, just a few tads

I could see the iPhone becoming an iPhone mini with the newer larger one becoming the de facto standard. But I'm not certain apple will go way. But hey with everything rose they made 2 radical,y different sizes.

I know, many of us do, or thats what I read here and there. Its gonna happen, and I think the article about Tim Cooks salary package will push it along
I also fully understand those who dont want a bigger phone, thats easy to resolve. Buy the 4" model, others may choose the 4.8 model. And I think they can do all this with a surprisingly small enlargement of the form factor.

Tony, you aren't the only who would like a bigger iPhone.SandraSent from my iPad I hope so. I'd l;ove to see some headline gathering, push the Apple TV to the public, remove it from Apple's current hobby status. Push those controllers we saw the other day into the public eye. And off course an extra iPhone of the 4.8 variety! (Sorry Kris!! :-) )

New iPads iPhones OSes possibly new Apple TV and a new???~KLM\\ "If people are not laughing at your goals, your goals are too small..." ~Azim Premji //Could well be that. They need to analyse why the shareprice has gone south and seek ways to reverse that I guess.

It's true or regarded that Apple doesnt, and doesn't need to compete against others as they are doing every well financially?
What would they need to do to get back the confidence of the investors? As I see it they would need to actively compete for sales and market share?

THIS ISHUGE!!!! Emphasis mineApple changed Tim Cook's pay package putting 40% of his 1 million Apple shares at risk if the company's stock doesn't outperform the market over the next eight years, according to a document filed with the SEC.That means Cook could lose millions if Apple's stock price continues to slide. He now has a huge incentive to make sure that doesn't happen. However, the document also states Apple's board has full confidence in Cook to lead the company."Mr. Cook is leading this initiative by example and has the full support of the Board of Directors," the document says..~KLM\\ "If people are not laughing at your goals, your goals are too small..." ~Azim Premji //
