To follow up on this, I set the iPad aside and checked it every morning, it took ten days for the battery to run down below 60%. I checked it yesterday morning and it was 64%, this morning when I checked 58%, I pressed the home button and the slide to unlock worked!!! All is back to normal, I'm in the process of putting my apps back on it. Just FYI

Other than checking email occasionally and charging it I haven't used it. So I picked it up yesterday and powered it up and the slide to unlock switch did not work, tried it many times, powered down, let it sit 5 min., powered back up, still didn't work. Did the hard start (Power and Home same time), still didn't work. This morning connected to iTunes and did a re the restart, re set, re store thing, thought it was going to work until it got finished and got to the slide to reset on the screen, and the slide switch wouldn't work. I read somewhere to let the battery run completely down and recharge it and restart and that should fix it , but, with it in sleep mode and the battery was fully charged, how long will it take to run down... days probably. What else can I do? If this is Apple Product quality, I'm not impressed. Thanks for any help
