I didn't tried any devices or application without password. You could get
his/her machine, also you can ask to install a device.
Also I hope you can create "new user" to that machine.

In installing a scanner, it would only allow the installation happen with the
administrators account. That now means that only the administrator can scan and
if someone else is logged onto the machine and wants to scan, they cannot.
How can this be worked around.

Canon LiDE 120 scanner
OS X
